OSV ANNOUNCES INVESTMENT IN LITURGY AND MUSIC RESOURCE PROVIDER SOURCE & SUMMIT

Posted: 03/16/2020 | Press Releases

OSV announces a strategic investment in unique liturgy and music resource provider Source & Summit. Founded by Adam Bartlett, Source & Summit is focused on placing the riches of the liturgy within reach of every parish. The investment from OSV will provide a springboard for Source & Summit to expand and reach more audiences with their message and mission.

Source & Summit, a recent rebrand and expansion of Illuminare Publications, has published multiple liturgy and music resources including the Lumen Christi Missal, Lumen Christi Hymnal, and Lumen Christi Simple Gradual, in addition to a complement of choir and accompaniment editions. Additionally, hundreds of digital liturgical music downloads have been made available online, reaching and impacting the liturgical lives of thousands of parishes. Their unique approach to publishing digital liturgical music will provide parish music and liturgy programs with unparalleled flexibility in liturgy preparation, including the ability to create custom Mass and service booklets and to customize the resources used by parish musicians. Source & Summit has been active in software for several years and maintaining the industry leading application interface for Gregorian chant engraving.

“The task of helping parishes elevate the liturgy in our times cannot be accomplished overnight or manufactured. It must be built and fostered over time, both through innovation using the best tools and technologies available, but also with an enduring stability. This is why we saw OSV as an ideal partner. They have served the Church consistently and tirelessly for more than 100 years and we are inspired by their vision for the next century and wanted to be a part of making it a reality,”

states Adam Bartlett, Source & Summit Founder and CEO.

As OSV continues to invest in digital solutions for today’s needs in the Church, the focus and effort Source & Summit has given to its forthcoming digital platform for parish liturgy preparation, formation and training was a logical investment. “The innovative thinking being done by the Source & Summit team is what really captured our attention,” says Joe Wikert, President of OSV Publishing. “Source & Summit’s creative approach to helping parishes elevate the liturgy through liturgical and music resources aligns well with the mission of OSV.”

As the world’s largest manufacturer of church offering envelopes and one of the world’s largest Catholic publishers, OSV is well-positioned to help Source & Summit expand their reach to its broad parish network. This newly formed collaboration also enhances OSV’s focus on providing digital solutions designed for today’s parishioner.
